Southwest Truck Driver Training in Tucson, AZ

If you’re in Southern Arizona and ready to start a real trucking career, Southwest Truck Driver Training’s Tucson campus is where that career begins.

We’ve been training CDL drivers across Arizona since 1999 — and our Tucson campus brings that same family-owned commitment to Pima County and the communities surrounding it. We train over 300 students every year at this campus alone. That’s not just a number. That’s 300 people who showed up, put in the work, and walked out with a CDL and a career to go with it.

Our classrooms are equipped with modern technology and up-to-date audio/video systems. Outside, our training range gives you the space and the equipment to build real confidence before you ever hit the public road. Everything here is built to prepare you — not just to pass a test, but to do the job well.

Professional Truck Driver Training in Pima County

Our Tucson campus offers a full lineup of CDL programs — whether you’re starting from scratch, adding an endorsement, or getting back behind the wheel after time away. Here’s what’s available.

Class A CDL Training

A Class A CDL is the highest level of commercial driver’s license you can earn, and it opens the door to the highest-paying driving careers in the industry. Long-haul freight, combination vehicles, flatbed — the opportunities are wide.

At the Tucson campus, you’ll train on a well-maintained fleet of late-model commercial trucks in a real-world training environment. Your instructors have driven these roads. They’ll take you through pre-trip inspections, backing maneuvers, city driving, and interstate travel until you’re not just ready to pass your exam — you’re ready to perform on the job.

Class B CDL Training

A Class B CDL is a strong choice for drivers who want steady, local work close to home. Transit operations, local delivery, utility vehicles — these are consistent careers that keep you in the Tucson area and on a predictable schedule.

Our Tucson instructors will make sure you’re fully prepared for your CDL skills test and confident in the seat when you start your first day on the job.
