We Train Your Drivers. We’ve Been Doing It for Over 25 Years.

Southwest Truck Driver Training has offered CDL training to Arizona businesses since 1999. Companies that need licensed, job-ready commercial drivers come to Southwest because the training is thorough, the testing is handled on-site, and the results speak for themselves.

From first-time CDL candidates to experienced drivers who need to add an endorsement or meet a new compliance requirement, Southwest builds programs around what each business actually needs.

Who Southwest Trains for Business

Southwest has worked with employers across Arizona and the Southwest, including municipalities, utilities, national carriers, and private companies. The organizations below have trusted Southwest to train their drivers.

Class A CDL Partners

These organizations operate combination vehicles, freight haulers, and long-haul fleets. Southwest’s Class A CDL program prepares drivers for the full range of commercial vehicle operations their jobs require.

Class B CDL Partners

These organizations operate straight trucks, transit vehicles, utility fleets, and municipal equipment. Southwest’s Class B CDL program trains drivers for the specific vehicle types and routes those roles demand.

Customized Training Built Around Your Operation

Southwest does not offer a one-size-fits-all program for business clients. Each conversation starts with what the company needs: which license class, which endorsements, how many employees, and what timeline works. We can also build employee training based around specific company curriculum or retraining after accidents.

Training options for business clients include:

  • Class A CDL licensing programs
  • Class B CDL licensing programs
  • Backing and road training
  • Endorsement courses, including HazMat, Passenger, and School Bus
  • Pre- and post-trip inspection training
  • CDL Refresher programs
  • Safety training

Both Southwest campuses are state-certified, third-party CDL examination sites. Employees test where they train, which reduces scheduling complexity and keeps the process moving. Southwest also provides certificates that meet insurance and compliance requirements.

Southwest’s business training programs are led by Carmine Perea. Carmine has been with Southwest since 2010 and has been leading the Business Development program for company clients since 2018. He works directly with each business client to build a training plan that fits the operation.
