Southwest Truck Driver Training owner and CEO Sean Williams has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Commercial Vehicle Training Association (CVTA).

CVTA is the largest association representing commercial truck driver training programs in the United States. CVTA advocates for policies that enhance safety, reduce barriers for those seeking entry into the transportation industry and further advance overall driver professionalism.  CVTA represents over 400 training locations in 46 states that collectively train over 100,000 drivers each year.

Sean’s position with the CVTA board will not only enhance the presence of Southwest Truck Driver Training in the truck driving school community, but will also give him the opportunity to assist in making critical decisions that will affect the truck driving school in industry for years to come.

“It’s a great honor to be selected to represent our industry on the Board of Directors for the Commercial Vehicle Training Association,” says Sean. “As a member of the CVTA throughout our 25+ years of training CDL drivers, we have found their advocacy and leadership in the CDL training space to be top notch.”

“CVTA’s goals of Excellence, Safety and Professionalism are in direct alignment with our approach to CDL training. I look forward to serving on this board and hope my 20+ years in the CDL training space will add value to an already deeply experienced group of CDL training leaders.”
