Our Driver Training Programs
The Class A Commercial Driver License program is designed to provide each student with a basic knowledge of the requirements for a Class A CDL. In our Class A CDL program, we put you behind the wheel to give you enough driving time to gain the hands-on skills you need to succeed and prepare you for a trucking career.
The Class B Commercial Driver License program is designed for individuals who want to pursue a trucking career operating commercial vehicles such as cement mixers, delivery trucks, dump trucks or buses. As a graduate of this program, you’ll have gained the knowledge you need to test for — and pass — the Class B CDL with the Air Brakes endorsement.
The Hazmat Endorsement training program equips students with ELDT-required topics such as basic hazmat requirements, loading and unloading hazardous materials from vehicles, emergency procedures, and more. After this four-hour course, you will be prepared to take the hazmat theory test as part of the process of getting your hazmat endorsement. Learn more about how this theory and knowledge course can expand your career options to include high-paying hazmat loads and routes.
If you’re looking to get back on the road with confidence, here’s a program that will help you shift your trucking career back into high gear. Designed for drivers with prior driving experience within the last 2-3 years, this program will reintroduce you to the industry with hands-on drive-time instruction and job placement assistance upon graduation.
From pre-trip inspections to tips for city and freeway driving, this specialized program gives those outside the trucking industry the skills they need to safely and successfully drive large recreational vehicles. Graduates of the program will receive a Southwest Recreational Vehicle Training Certificate of Attendance, which is accepted by most insurance companies and could earn holders a break on insurance rates.
At Southwest Truck Driver Training, we've spent the past 25-plus years crafting programs to help individuals achieve their CDL driving goals. We also help businesses: Through our Business Development program, we train employees for partner companies who want a more personal approach to training. We're proud of the reputation we've gained in the industry and how much we've been able to help a variety of businesses.
