Southwest Truck Driver Training seeks a highly motivated Administrative Assistant whose primary role will be front desk receptionist, but who will also assist in other departments, including Student and Career Services. This part-time position, up to 30 hours per week, requires strong computer skills. It also calls for flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work harmoniously with all levels of internal management, staff, and outside clients. The ideal candidate should be able to adapt to a high-paced work environment and manage multiple priorities and changing assignments. Core Responsibilities

  • Answering, screening, and forwarding phone calls using a multi-line phone system
  • Greeting, welcoming, and directing visitors
  • Assisting prospective students with pre-applications
  • Tracking and preparing all lead calls using a high-performance lead management system  
  • Maintaining attendance reports
  • Entering student and customer data with accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintaining accurate and organized student records
  • Working with the campus Director to ensure all reports are accurate
  • Upholding confidentiality of student and customer information
  • Maintaining a clean and organized front desk area
  • Providing administrative support for all departments
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Campus Director

 

Qualifications:

  • Veteran a plus
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be accountable and coachable
  • Finance knowledge a plus
  • Knowledge of the trucking industry a plus
